Baqen County in Xizang welcomed its first-ever doctoral graduate with vibrant Tibetan-style celebrations, supported by the local government. Villagers and entrepreneurs joined forces to organize a grand ceremony featuring horseback processions and heartfelt hada (traditional ceremonial scarf) presentations as blessings. In a show of respect for knowledge, a local entrepreneur awarded the scholar a 100,000-yuan incentive.
