The joint exhibition of cultural relics from the Palace Museum and Xizang opened to the public at the Xizang Museum on August 28. This exhibition featured a carefully selected collection of 95 sets of precious cultural relics, including porcelain, jade, Thangka paintings, statues, and more. Among them, several artifacts are returning to Xizang for the first time for a symbolic homecoming, including: the statue of Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin) Bodhisattva presented by the Seventh Dalai Lama to Emperor Qianlong, the Buddhist shrine presented by the Sixth Panchen Lama to Emperor Qianlong, and the portrait of the Sixth Panchen Erdeni at the age of nine.
