The Lhalu Wetland National Nature Reserve, known as "Lungs of Lhasa", has undergone an ecological transformation after 30 years of protection and an investment of 8.5 billion yuan (RMB). Its vegetation coverage has increased from just 60% to over 95%, making it a home for over 200 animal species, including the endangered black-necked crane. The conservation of Lhalu Wetland not only improves Lhasa's air quality, but also provides a recreational space. The Lhalu Wetland showcases Xizang's commitment to ecological progress.
