On November 17, the world's highest-altitude operational wind power project, which is also equipped with the largest single-capacity turbines in Southwest China's Xizang Autonomous, was connected to the grid for power generation in Zhongdui Village, Qonggyai County, Shannan City. Once operational, the project is expected to generate enough clean energy annually to meet the electricity demands of approximately 120,000 households, equivalent to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 128,700 tons per year.
