Drenthang Town, a Sherpa community in Dingkye County, Xizang, was once dependent on finger millet (a local grain crop) and potatoes. Backed by the Nanjing Institute of Environmental Sciences, its Sale Village has built a tea plantation and processing factory, which is set to boost each household's income by an average of more than 3,000 yuan (RMB) annually.
