Recently, two white-lipped deer were spotted in Nedong District, Shannan City, Xizang. As a unique specie to China and a national first-class protected animal, the white-lipped deer is a typical alpine species, inhabiting areas at altitudes of approximately 3,500 to 5,100 meters, primarily distributed in the alpine grasslands of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau and its surrounding regions.
