Recently, a research team from the Xizang Autonomous Region Plateau Biology Institute and other units discovered a new species of fish from the family Sisoridae in Zayu County, Nyingchi City, and officially named it "Verrucose-leafed Odontobutis". This discovery marks another significant advancement in China's research on fish diversity and biological evolution in the Himalayan region.
