Recently, according to the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Xizang Autonomous Region, since the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan, Xizang has applied for a total of 4.391 billion yuan(RMB) in central budgetary investment and implemented 26 heating projects. Compared with the end of the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the heating area has been increased by 7.58 million square meters, covering a population of about 300,000. And the full coverage of heating supply has been achieved in farming and pastoral areas of townships at an altitude of over 5,000 meters.

Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, Xizang has implemented15 county centralized heating projects, attracted 3.775 billion yuan(RMB) of social capital,launched pilot concession projects for clean energy heating in urban areas of 7 counties (districts),and constructed and renovateda total heating area of 6.2241 million square meters, benefiting 200,000 cadres and residents.

At the same time, 11 centralized heating projects have been carried out in townships, farming and pastoral areas. A total of 39.4946 million yuan(RMB) has been raised through multiple channels to implement clean energy heating projects in Puma Jiangtang Town, Nagarze County, Shannan City, as well as heating projects for 1,553 farming and pastoral households in counties including Shuanghu and Nyima.

A representative in charge of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Xizang Autonomous Region said, "in the future, Xizang will actively promote legislative construction, comprehensively summarize pilot experience, and strive to secure construction fundsto facilitate full-scale implementationof urban-rural clean energy heating."
