According to XizangAutonomous Region Department of Commerce, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, Xizang's border trade and logistics have accelerated: the total value of foreign trade imports and exports reached about 40 billion yuan, 25 South Asia freight train trips were operated in 2025 with a cargo value of 309 million yuan, and exports of locally produced products exceeded 100 million yuan for the first time... This series of dynamic figures signifies that Xizang is transitioning from the "periphery" to the "forefront" of opening-up.

Over these five years, the scale of Xizang's border trade and logistics has repeatedly hit new highs, positioning the region as a key node in the national southward corridor. The Lhasa Land Port Type and the Xigaze (Gyerong) Land Border Port Type national-level logistics hubs have been successively established, while the application process for the Shannan Airport Type logistics hub is progressing in an orderly manner. This marks the first time Xizang possesses national-level logistics "identification," completely ending the era of having "no logistics hubs." The Lhasa Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the Gyerong Border Economic Cooperation Zone, and the Lhasa Cross-Border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone have been successively approved, cumulatively attracting 102 enterprises to settle in, forming an "industrial park matrix" that drives foreign trade growth.

Continuous infrastructure improvement has injected strong momentum into opening-up. Xizang has built 146 modern commercial circulation facilities and 8 cross-regional cold chain centers, with cold chain storage capacity reaching 515,000 cubic meters. E-commerce service centers at the autonomous region, city, and county levels, along with county-level distribution centers and township express delivery outlets, have achieved full coverage, comprehensively bridging the "last mile" of urban and rural logistics.

Customs clearance efficiency has significantly increased, and the burden on enterprises has been continuously reduced. The model of "regional-port linkage, one-time declaration, and direct port clearance" has been fully implemented. Vehicle clearance time has been reduced by an average of 85%, single-ticket clearance costs have decreased by approximately 600 yuan, providing annual cost reductions exceeding 20 million yuan for foreign trade enterprises annually. The border trade and logistics industry has entered a new stage of development characterized by high efficiency, convenience, and low cost.
