The nation's prosperity is built on the warmth and vitality of countless ordinary, well-tended homes. As China embarks on its 15th Five-Year Plan period, the land of Xizang brims with vitality. In the new generation of Xizang, the struggles and dreams of countless ordinary people are converging into a mighty force driving high-quality development on the snowy plateau. A comprehensive framework for a secure, prosperous, and vibrant life is steadily being put in place.
When night falls over the plateau, workers from the Zhaga Zangbo Signal Zone of the Nagqu Signal Workshop under the Lhasa Infrastructure Section of China Railway Qinghai-Tibet Group Co., Ltd. Working in biting cold well below -10°C, they held multimeters, conducting precise tests on the electrical characteristics of the track circuits with intense concentration. Every reading and verification of data is crucial for the safety and smooth operation of the "Sky Road." With professionalism and meticulousness, they silently safeguard the safe journey of every train in this inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, ensuring the artery of development is secured to its most reliable degree in the snowy plateau.
From the solid guarantee of infrastructure to the warmth of daily life in ordinary homes, the warmth of development flows through the details. At the happiness home in Che Village, Dingkye County, situated at an altitude of 4,300 meters, elderly gather to play "Xiu Zi", holding cups of warm butter tea in their hands. "The facilities here are complete, and life is fulfilling," said 78-year-old Gyaltsen with a smile. What gives him the greatest peace of mind is the regular door-to-door medical service—doctors frequently visit to check his blood pressure, guarding the health of the elderly. This heartwarming scene is a microcosm of the solid implementation of elderly care services in the autonomous region during this inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, turning "providing for the elderly and enabling them to enjoy their later years" into tangible, palpable happiness on the plateau.
In Sho Community, Chengguan District of Lhasa, community grid workers conduct door-to-door visits to street-side shops, meticulously inspecting firefighting equipment, electrical wiring, and emergency exits, leaving no potential hazard unchecked. "Fire extinguishers must be placed in visible locations; remember to check the pressure gauge regularly," jotting down their findings and patiently explaining safety protocols to shop owners. From firefighting equipment to electrical safety standards, the shift from "passive response" to "active prevention" is being realized through each detailed inspection, solidifying various public safety measures.
The most touching new life brings hope to land once shaken. After the 6.8-magnitude earthquake at the foot of Mount Qomolangma on January 7, 2025, PhunChong from Tsa Village, Dramtso Township, Dingri County, gave birth to her son, Tsering PhunChong, in the early morning of the following day. Now, one year later, Tsering PhunChong celebrated his first birthday in a spacious, bright, and warm new home. His healthy growth is a vivid illustration of the "people-first" principle on the snowy plateau and the warmest footnote to post-disaster reconstruction and the improvement of people's livelihoods.
Standing at the new starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the developmental pulse of the snowy plateau beats in harmony with the warmth of people's livelihoods. This endeavor, built on hard work and aimed at common prosperity, continues to advance, paving the way for a brighter future.

Recently, elderly residents at the rural happiness home in Che Village, Gojag Township, Dingkye County, Xigaze, celebrated a collective birthday.
