Nagqu is the highest prefecture-level city in China, with an average altitude of over 4,500 meters. Over the past five years, Nagqu has invested a total of 24.1016 million yuan in afforestation, completing the greening of 11,079 mu (about 7.386km²) of land and tending to 50,000 mu (about 33.33km²) of forests. Additionally, 624 million yuan was allocated for grassland ecological restoration, covering an area of 6.219 million mu (about 4,146km²).
