The year 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of the full operation of the Qinghai–Xizang Railway, as well as the fifth anniversary of the Lhasa–Nyingchi Railway. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the Lhasa–Nyingchi Railway carried 5.75 million passengers and 1.738 million tons of cargo, achieving a qualitative leap in both passenger and freight transport capacity.
