Recently, Nagqu City of Xizang, together with Xizang University, discovered two new insect species—Raphia jialiensis and Homolaia polymorpha—as well as six new record species in Jiali County. The findings have been published in international journals. Xizang's diverse habitats and climates nurture a rich variety of insect species, providing important support for ecological research.
