Since the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Xizang’s housing and urban-rural development system has advanced new urbanization and urban renewal, with 39 billion yuan of investment completed. The urbanization rate has reached 39.68%. A total of 321 old residential communities and 53,300 rural dilapidated houses have been renovated, while heating coverage has been achieved for all townships above 5,000 meters in elevation. These efforts have significantly improved urban and rural living environments and steadily enhanced people’s sense of well-being.
