Thupten Jinmei, a forest ranger in Maizhokunggar County, has devoted 15 years to protecting forests and wildlife. He patrols over 60 kilometers each day to check for potential risks and rescue wild animals. He once nursed an injured black-necked crane back to health before releasing it into the wild. In 2025, together with more than 1,000 fellow rangers, he helped rescue 12 wild animals, staying committed to safeguarding the plateau’s ecosystem. (Xizang Daily)
