The higher education professional evaluation institution Shanghai Ranking officially released the "2026 Soft Science China University Rankings." Among the ranked institutions, four universities from Xizang were listed: Xizang University, Xizang Minzu University, Xizang University of Tibetan Medicine, and Xizang Agricultural and Animal Husbandry University. In the subject-specific university rankings, within the category of ethnic universities, Xizang Minzu University ranked 6th.
