Recently, multiple research institutions in Lhasa jointly conducted a biodiversity survey and discovered Yushu Murina bat in Chengguan District for the first time, filling the gap of this species in Xizang. This finding expands its known range and provides strong evidence for biodiversity conservation on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. This bat possesses a unique "plateau temperament": its dorsal fur is a soft brownish-gold, while its abdomen is grayish-white with sandy yellow, blending seamlessly with the plateau shrubland and meadow environment. It has a rounded skull and an elongated snout, adaptations that suit both cold temperatures and efficient insect predation in forested areas.
