On the Luquetang grassland in Xainza County, Nagqu City of Xizang, over 10,000 Tibetan antelopes are now in their calving season. Tibetan antelope, a Grade I state-protected species, has a total population exceeding 300,000. However, the population living here rarely undertakes long-distance migration. The females give birth in concentrated groups — a strategy that helps reduce the risk of predation on their young.
