Recently, the "African Railway Professionals' Tour of the Qinghai-Xizang Railway" was held in Lhasa. Railway staff from eight African countries—including Ethiopia, Kenya, Zambia, and the Republic of the Congo—along with several African diplomatic envoys to China, visited the operating facilities of the Qinghai-Xizang Railway in Lhasa to gain firsthand insight into China's modern management practices for high-altitude railways.
