To effectively address the challenges faced by cleft lip and palate patients in Xizang's agricultural and pastoral areas, such as long travel distances, difficulty accessing care, and high costs—the "Smile Angel Journey" public welfare initiative by the Smile Angel Foundation, under the Red Cross Foundation of China, was recently launched at the Xizang Autonomous Region Women's and Children's Hospital. The program has completed screenings for 154 patients and performed 72 free corrective surgeries.
