China's foreign trade reached a record high in the first half of 2026, with total imports and exports climbing 16.9% year on year to 25.47 trillion yuan, surpassing 25 trillion yuan for the first time in the January–June period. Exports rose 13.4% to 14.73 trillion yuan, while imports increased 22.1% to 10.74 trillion yuan, highlighting the resilience of China's trade and its balanced growth amid a complex global environment.
