Recently, a Chengdu-based enterprise in Sichuan donated 7,404 precious ancient volumes on Tibetan medicine and astronomical calendrical studies to the Museum of Tibetan Medicine and Astronomical & Calendrical Studies at the Xizang University of Tibetan Medicine. Following authentication by a panel of experts, the collection has been confirmed to be rich in content and of significant scholarly value. With this addition, the museum's total holdings of ancient texts have now surpassed 30,000 volumes (copies).
