She emerged from the depths of the Changtang grassland, taking root like a Kelsang flower in the vast expanse of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau. Mingji Tsomo, a woman from Nagqu in Xizang, embarked on her journey to study Tibetan medicine at the age of 13. Later, she spent 11 years pursuing advanced studies at prestigious overseas universities. Despite being presented with lucrative opportunities abroad, she chose to return to her homeland, driven by her commitment to preserving the roots of her ethnic culture. For decades, she has devoted herself to clinical practice, scientific research, and teaching in Tibetan medicine. With a deep sense of duty to her country and people, she has worked tirelessly to bring the benefits of Tibetan medicine to the highland communities and to promote it on the world stage.
