Stone lifting, commonly known as the "plateau strongman competition," has been a popular tradition since the time of Songtsen Gampo. It originated from herders and farmers moving stones and ramming earth in their labor, with a history of over a thousand years. It is a must-have event during the Ongkor Festival, Horse Racing Festival, and the Tibetan New Year. The "strongman" who won first place in the stone lifting competition at the 6th Traditional Ethnic Sports Games of the Xizang Autonomous Region is named Tsering Norbu. He has won the championship for three consecutive terms, with this year's record of 175 kilograms at a height of 2.17 meters.
