Foreign Ministry Spokesperson briefs on search and rescue of foreign nationals in Xizang mudslide disaster

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a regular press conference on September 14 that China has notified the embassies of relevant countries in China of the procedures for collecting DNA information from the families of foreign nationals missing in the Gyirong mudslide disaster. If the remains of foreign victims are found and their identities confirmed, the embassies of the relevant countries in China will be promptly informed of the follow-up arrangements. The Xizang Autonomous Region has opened a hotline for the families of missing foreign nationals to provide timely services.
