Under the warm autumn sun, the Laborers' Station in Gongkar Town, Maizhokunggar County, Lhasa City, is clean, tidy, and warm. A small convenience station continuously conveys urban warmth to outdoor workers, local residents, and passing tourists.

A reporter's on-site visit found that the station has clear functional zones, complete facilities, and thoughtful services. Since it was put into use on July 1, 2025, under the leadership of the county Party committee's "Two New" Working Committee, the Laborers' Station of the Migrant Population Party Branch in Gongkar Town, Maizhokunggar County, has adhered to the service principle of "warmth when cold, coolness when hot, rest when tired, and medicine when injured." Relying on more than 400 square meters of service space, it integrates diverse functions such as convenience services, conflict mediation, cultural and sports leisure, environmental improvement, public welfare assistance, and Party-building empowerment, striving to create a "warm harbor" and a frontline position for grassroots governance for outdoor workers, local residents, and passing tourists.

Tang Xingju, a Party member who has been rooted in Maizhokunggar County for 14 years, was deeply moved. When she first arrived, she often felt lost. Later, after joining the Migrant Population Party Branch and treating the station as her "parents' home," she regularly participated in station housekeeping, reading and study, and skills training, transforming from a beneficiary of services into a participant in grassroots service, and truly feeling the warmth and care of the Party organization. "The station is like our second home. Here I can both learn and improve, and serve others, which has truly given me a sense of belonging," Tang Xingju said happily.

To date, the station has regularly carried out free convenience services, providing more than 100 various services in total, effectively solving daily problems for outdoor workers and local residents such as washing up, vehicle cleaning, and printing documents, and using subtle services to bring Party and the masses closer; at the same time, it insists on resolving small matters on the spot and mediating conflicts at the source, having successfully mediated 8 disputes of various types involving more than 200,000 yuan, maintaining harmony, stability, and civilized order in the area; cultural and sports services are equally thoughtful, with basketball hoops, billiards, table tennis, and other facilities open free of charge all day. Every evening, the cultural and sports area is quite popular, and billiards and table tennis activities effectively enrich the masses' spare time, creating a healthy, uplifting, and neighborly atmosphere.

When tourists stay overnight, we also provide breakfast and other convenience services, so that those who come from afar can feel the warmth of home here. Maizhokunggar County is our second hometown, and we have witnessed its rapid changes with our own eyes and felt them in our hearts.
