Samdrup, a road maintenance worker, has been stationed for over 30 years at the Lhari maintenance section in northern Xizang, managing and protecting more than 500 kilometers of national and provincial highways. Generation after generation of plateau road maintenance workers have braved the severe cold and hardships to keep the plateau road network open, supporting the building of a country with strong transportation network through concrete actions and building roads that connect people of all ethnic groups.
