Source:xzxw.com 2026-09-28

Today is September 25, the 14th day of the 8th month in the Tibetan calendar, which coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival originated from the ancient Chinese people's worship of the moon. It gets its name because the 15th day of the 8th lunar month falls right in the middle of the three autumn phases. On this day, people admire the full moon, eat mooncakes, and reunite with their families. The round shape of mooncakes also symbolizes family reunion and harmony. The Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a traditional Chinese festival, but also a warm embodiment of the cultural belief that "a harmonious family makes all things prosper" in Chinese culture.
