In recent years, leveraging the development advantages of the postal express industry, Ngari Prefecture has continuously deepened the "Express Delivery to Villages" initiative, building the express sector into a key platform for plateau farmers and herdsmen to secure local, nearby employment and stable income growth. By developing inclusive grassroots jobs, the industry has effectively driven local people to achieve stable employment and sustained income increases.

At present, the postal express industry across the prefecture has cumulatively created jobs for 115 local farmers and herdsmen. These positions cover postal express stations at the prefecture, county and township levels, spanning multiple practical job types including couriers, sorters and counter clerks, with the employment coverage continuing to expand. According to statistics, the per capita monthly income of employees in Ngari's express industry reaches 9,771.3 yuan, and the total annual labor income of the entire industry is about 13.484 million yuan (approximately 2 million USD).

In response to the realities of Ngari Prefecture -- vast territory, scattered residential areas and inconvenient conditions for people to seek jobs outside their hometowns -- the Ngari Prefecture Postal Administration has given full play to the advantages of express jobs: moderate entry thresholds, strong adaptability and accessibility for nearby employment. It has vigorously tapped the employment potential of the postal express industry and continuously unlocked the sector's driving effect on employment. As the three-level county-township-village delivery and logistics network continues to improve, grassroots positions in express pickup and delivery, parcel sorting, outlet on-duty and window services keep expanding, creating a large number of at-home employment opportunities for local farmers and herdsmen. This not only brings the people sustained and stable wage income, but also allows them to take into account their daily agricultural and pastoral production and family care, effectively making up for the shortcomings in grassroots people's income growth, and turning the express industry into a people-benefiting industry that stabilizes employment and increases income for the plateau masses.

Liu Dongsheng, deputy director of the Ngari Prefecture Postal Administration, introduced that there are still some weaknesses in the local express industry's work to stabilize employment. For example, some on-the-job farmer and herdsman employees lack systematic professional training, and their professional skills and service level need to be improved. In the next step, the Ngari Prefecture Postal Administration will focus on stabilizing employment, improving skills and increasing income, make continuous efforts to carry out regular vocational skill training for express practitioners, and comprehensively enhance the practical operational capabilities of local employees.
