Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the Xizang Autonomous Region announced that by the end of September this year, the total livestock inventory in the region stood at 20.625 million head, marking a 3.5% year-on-year increase; the number of livestock sent to market reached 1.846 million head, up 8.6% year on year. The total output of meat, eggs and milk hit 577,000 tonnes, representing a 6.9% year-on-year growth. The high-quality development of the animal husbandry sector in Xizang is steadily accelerating.
