The world’s highest-altitude tower-type solar thermal power project, the Xizang Kaitou Amdo Tushuo 100MW solar thermal power plant, has completed the installation of all heliostats and is expected to connect to the grid in October this year. Once operational, the plant will generate an average of 255 million kWh of electricity annually, while creating local employment opportunities for herders, charting a development path that balances clean energy, ecological protection, and increased incomes.
