May 21 is the 27th National Handicapped Day and it is also the 2nd National Handicapped Day that students of Lhasa Special Education School celebrate in the new school area.

Lhasa Special Education School was established in 2000 and it is the first educational institution in Tibet that is specially set up for exceptional children. This school integrates 9-year compulsory education with vocational secondary education.

At present, there are 70 staff and 206 handicapped students in this school.
