In recent years, Tibet has been comprehensively promoting the balanced development of compulsory education by following the principles of unified planning and coordinated promotion of compulsory education in urban and rural areas, inclining high-quality educational resources to remote areas, and striving to improve the development level of basic education in agricultural and pastoral areas.

Through continuous efforts, the schooling conditions of basic education in agricultural and pastoral areas are improved obviously. The gaps between urban and rural areas, regions, and schools are gradually reduced.
