To further standardize the use of Tibetan-Chinese bilingual placenames in Nyemo County, provide more convenient and standardized place name services to the general public and tourists, and promote the development of economy and tourism, recently, on the basis of the second nationwide place-name census, the Tibetan Language Committee (Compilation and Translation Bureau) of Nyemo County of Lhasa City has gone to 33 villages ( neighborhood committees) in the county to verify the origin of place names, and "a compilation of bilingual place names in Tibetan and Chinese" is formed.
