Since 2017, Bainang County has introduced vegetable planting enterprises, upgraded planting technology and improved soil to step up vegetable industry development and build a normative and high-end vegetable production model. Bailang County has built "Qunub Vegetable Planting Area", currently the largest vegetable planting area in Tibet Autonomous Region. Besides traditional fruit and vegetable varieties, the planting area has introduced new ones too, such as strawberry, pleurotus eryngii and pepquino. In addition, the planting area has cooperated with local supermarkets, farm produce fairs and key enterprises to expand the marketing channel, which has generated considerable economic and ecological benefits in just two years.
