March 5 was the 56th "Learning from Lei Feng Day", on this day, voluntary activities of government departments took place in Tibet to further carry forward the "Lei Feng spirit".

On the morning of March 5, 2019, with great support of the Tibet Military Area Command, the Garrison Command and Tibet Military General Hospital carried out activities including explaining national defense policies and providing free diagnosis to mark this significant day in Lhasa, which got good response from local citizens. Besides, the volunteer group of Publicity Department of the CPC Tibet Autonomous Region Committee brought stationery and sporting goods, as well asdaily necessities worth 8,000 yuan RMB to the cultural center of Tsalgungthang Village. 

In other places of T.A.R., Nyingchi City distributed publicity brochures, posters and CDs to local people, and a story-telling activity was held at Nedong District of Shannan City to share Lei Feng's life story.
