To protect and inherit excellent Tibetan national culture, Tibet University established the Tibetan Information & Technology Research Center in 2006 by relying on Computer Applications Technology and Tibetan Language and Literature, which are Tibet Autonomous Region's two key subjects.

Centering on the research and development of Tibetan information processing technology and various application technologies, this center makes great contribution to Tibet's information technology development.
