The "Heart Mandala" exhibition was held in eastern China's Shanghai on Nov. 20. The exhibition features the work of top artists, including foreigners. An ice sculpture of the Buddha is especially striking.
"Many people know the Tibetan art only through ancient Thangka and statue. We want to show the vitality of modern Tibetan art in this exhibition, said Sheng Liyu, co-founder of Tiho, a culture advocacy company that is hosting the exhibition.
The ice sculpture of the Buddha represents the changeable laws of the world. The exhibition will last from Nov. 20 to Dec. 20.
