At southeast corner of Barkhor circumambulation road around the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa, there is a yellow Tibetan wood-earth building which is especially eye-catching. It seems like just an ordinary three-story building. Whereas, it is said that it is the legend place where Tsangyang Gyatso met with his lover Makye Ame. On account of Tsangyang Gyatso’s special identity, their sweet and sorrow love story is widely circulated in mordern society. Known as the place for this lovers’ tryst, now the building named after Makye Ame holds a dining room with Tibetan, Chinese and Nepal flavors. Inside the building is renovated old and filled with a smell of Tibetan incense.
