The National Intangible Cultural Heritage exhibition featuring over one hundred Thangka pieces kicks off at Nyingchi Mass Art Center located in Nyingchi of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on March 30. The tour exhibition will later open in cities of China's Tibet, including Ngari, Nagqu, Qamdo, Lhasa, Shannan and Shigatse.

Some painters also performed their techniques at the exhibition. On April 5, a public lecture concerning Thangka will be held on the second floor of Nyingchi Mass Art Center. This exhibition mainly shows the achievements on the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage in Tibet.

This Thangka exhibition, one of important events during the period of 16th Peach Blossom Festival, becomes the largest one in Nyingchi's history.

The exhibition begins from March 2018 to December 2019. The last one will be arranged during the Mount Qomolangma Cultural Festival before the end of 2019.
