November 24 coincides with the first day of the tenth month of the Tibetan calendar, on this day, Nyingchi welcomes the 2023 Gongbo New Year, the earliest New Year in Xizang. With its long history, distinctive features and rich connotations, Gongbo New Year was included in the first batch of intangible cultural heritage protection lists of the Xizang Autonomous Region in 2006.
