In order to enrich cultural life of local people, government of Shannan Prefecture has invested over 20 million yuan to the regions’ cultural infrastructures last year.

Library, museum, cinema and theater in Tsedang, the capital town were all upgraded. 82 town-leveled and 554 village-leveled cultural stations for book reading, movie watching and other art activities were built with the region. Moreover, there were 807 book houses set in rural neighborhoodcommittees and monasteries for local people as well as monks and nuns.
