According to the Lhasa Education and Sports Bureau, the 1st professional basketball team has been established in Tibet recently, which fills in the blank in this field. Located at an altitude of 3646 meters, the home court is the highest basketball court in China.

Last summer, the CBA which is composed of Beijing Team and Bayi Team once played games with Tibet’s local basketball team in Lhasa Cultural and Sports Center. The playing field is expected to become this professional basketball team’s home court.
