The 2nd Sanjiang Tea Horse Culture and Art Festival will be held from August 19 to 25 in Chamdo City, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. During the festival, a series of activities such as art performance, sports games, business negotiation, trade sales, culture and tourism forums will be held.
In addition, activities such as the seminar on building the Tibet-Sichuan-Yunnan-Qinghai barrier-free travel zone, summer tourism experience, retracing the Ancient Tea Horse Road, Ranwu Tourism Forum, Ranwu Cycling Race and so on will also be held. What's more, leaders of Tibet Tourism Development Committee, well-known domestic tourism experts, representatives of the Tibet's tourism departments, representatives of aid-Tibet provinces' tourism departments, and media representatives are invited to take part in the festival.
Chamdo City is rich in tourism resources. The Ancient Tea Horse Road has a long history and Karuo culture is mysterious. Ranwu Lake is famous for beautiful scenery, while the salt pan has special charm. In recent years, the tourism industry of eastern Tibet begins to develop. After the 1st Sanjiang Tea Horse Culture and Art Festival held in September, 2015, Sanjiang culture, tea-horse culture and Khampa culture gradually move toward the world.
