On the morning of August 7, to welcome the 9th National Fitness Day, the first session of Guozhuang dance competition was held in Lhasa and 19 teams took part in the competition.

Guozhuang means circle song and dance in Tibetan language and it is very popular among Tibetan people. In this competition, a variety of musical and musical forms,  ethnic costume elements, and folk tradition and fold customs are fully and delightfully showed.

Fan Zhenqiang, secretary of the Social Sports Center of Tibet Sports Bureau, says, "this competition aims to promote the integration, communication and development of the variety and chapter of Guozhuang dance. It also tries to stimulate the fitness enthusiasm of all ethnic groups and create a strong fitness atmosphere. "
